The Recreation and Community Center offers a Farmer's Market from 8:00am - 12:00pm on Thursdays beginning July 7th - October 6th. Vendors will be set up outside the Community Center to sell a variety of goods. All products offered are home grown, handmade, or baked fresh.

The Wooster Recreation Department in partnership with Wooster Healthy Living is hosting the Wooster Healthy Living Kids Day! The event will take place on July 20th from 10:00am-12:30pm at Christmas Run Park. No pre-registration or fee required.
The Wayne Trails "Run, Walk & Roll" on June 18th is a community special event bringing awareness to the bike trail system in and around Wooster and highlighting local businesses! A "Poker Run" will take place along the trail. Pick up a playing card at each stop along the way, and the top three poker hands will be awarded prizes at the end of the event.
The Family/Children's portion of the event will be held around the Wooster Soccer Complex & Oak Hill Park. This portion will include a station of small farm animals, scavenger hunt & trivia questions.
Check-in begins at 9:30 am at the Wooster Soccer Complex (corner Oldman and Burbank Road)
Event will begin at the Complex at 10:00am.
Participants may elect to either run, walk or ride a bike (all riders must wear a helmet).

If one lives within the corporation limits of Wooster or an adult living in one's household works within the corporation limits of Wooster, he/she is considered a resident.
Not necessarily, a Wooster mailing address does not mean you reside within the corporate limits of the city.
The City Subsidized Taxi Program is for residents who live in the Wooster City Corporation limits. Qualification is based on an individual's household income and proof of financial assistance. Please call 330-264-8677 or visit Community Action for an application and more details.
If a child, ages 2 - 17, lives within the Wooster City Corporation limits and receives free or reduced lunches or has a Medicaid card, the child can receive 50% or up to $20.00 off one of our programs once every brochure. A child can also receive a scholarship pool pass for $20.00. The lunch letter or Medicaid card must be presented at time of registration.
There are no memberships to the Wooster Community Center. You pay for what you would like to do. Some activities are free to those who are 50 and older. Please see our brochure for details.
If an activity is full, we can place your name on a wait list. You will ONLY be contacted if an opening becomes available. Payment is needed only if registration can be accepted. Please contact the Wooster Recreation and Community Services Department if you would like to be placed on a wait list. Individuals will be placed on wait list on a first come first served basis, and will be removed and placed in the program if spaces open up in the order they were placed on.
