Hiking Program
Wooster Memorial Park

Adults ages 50 and older join us for hiking at Wooster Memorial Park. Hikes will begin at the Main Entrance, 5197 Silver Rd. Maps and water will be provided, please bring a water bottle to fill! We ask that you pre-register so we know how many people to expect and we do not leave anyone behind. To pre-register up until the day of the walk, ask questions or for more information please call 330-263-5207.

Senior Community Lunch

A FREE Community lunch for Seniors 50+ is provided on the second Tuesday of each month in our Community Room. Sprenger Health Care Systems and Southern Care Hospice Services provide the lunches on alternating months throughout the year. These lunches are free to all seniors and are served beginning at 11:15 am. The menu varies each month and is not known ahead of time.

Daily Drop in Activities

The following activities for people 50+ many of which are free of charge and are held at the Community Center. The regular participants would like to invite anyone interested to join them for these exciting activities. If you would like to get out and meet great people, enjoy an old favorite or learn a new hobby, drop in and check these out!

Fun Fitness

This class offers a total body, low-impact workout. The class is open to both men and women and includes both standing and sitting exercises. The fee listed is to purchase a 10-punch card (1 punch per class). You will need to purchase more cards as your punches are used up.


9:00 AM – 10:00 AM Year-round on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays


Muscles that have not been used for some time can be revitalized at any age with a weight strengthening program. Men and women 55+ will use 1, 2, and 3 lb. hand weights & dynabands to increase muscle strength, boost energy and increase bone mass.

What are the hours at the Community Center?

Monday thru Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM. We are closed every Saturday, Sunday and major holidays.

Do you need to purchase a membership to the Wooster Community Center in order to participate in its activities and events?

There are no memberships to the Wooster Community Center. You pay for what you would like to do. Some activities are free to those who are 50 and older. Please see our brochure for details.

How do I purchase a Fitness Room Membership?

The Fitness Room is for adults 50 and older. Before purchasing a membership, one must sign up for a fitness room orientation. After the orientation, one may purchase a monthly or yearly membership.

Resident - $12 month or $75 year

Non-Resident - $14 month or $85 year

How old do you have to be to participate in the Older Adult activities?

50 and up
