Water Resource Recovery Information

The U.S. Congress ‘Clean Water Act’ of 1972 paved the way for regulations to “restore and maintain the chemical, physical, and biological integrity of water in the U.S.” and that “no one has the right to pollute the waters of the U.S.”.  The City of Wooster Water Utilities has a current Ohio EPA National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit for recovered water discharge to the Killbuck Creek.  The permit establishes the authorized discharge limitations and monitoring requirements to maintain a healthy aquatic environment at the receiving stream.  The annual report is created to instill customer confidence in our mission of clean water.  The report provides information on the treatment process and helpful information to the public regarding our daily efforts.
