The Planning & Zoning division educates our customers and the public in matters of planning and land use regulations. In identifying the future needs of the City and preparing realistic plans to accommodate these needs, the division enforces and implements policies and objectives of the comprehensive plan.
Comprehensive Plan
The 2024 Comprehensive Plan is a vital community blueprint. It sets the direction for where and how the city should grow over the next ten years. Within this broader goal, there are a number of community-wide objectives that the plan achieves. These include economic, land use, infrastructure, housing, and other broad community objectives.
