Building Standards
Helping Wooster Build Safe Places to Work and
Live
“Building safety is something we often take for granted. The Division of Building Standards and its staff work diligently, professionally, and cooperatively with our local Fire Authority to ensure that new structures are constructed and existing structures are maintained in accordance with the adopted Codes. The Public's safety is paramount in what we do, and why we do it." Joe Bodnar, Chief Building Official

OpenGov's permit management software is a web-based electronic and document workflow solution that allows Owners, Architects, Contractors, and Homeowners to initiate and complete the building permit plan submission, review, approval, inspection, and payment processes online from anywhere, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
In some cases, we also provide remote video inspections when in-person inspections are not possible. Our goal is to provide the best possible service to our customers while ensuring safe code-compliant construction.
