Planning & Zoning Division The mission of the Planning and Zoning Division of the City of Wooster is to guide the orderly development and renewal of the community through the most appropriate use and judicious regulation of land in the City.
Division Responsibilities
The Planning and Zoning Division's responsibilities include educating the public in matters of planning, and other development regulations. In identifying the future needs of the city and preparing realistic plans to accommodate these needs, the Division enforces and implements policies and objectives of the Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Code, Subdivision Regulations and Design Guidelines. Other duties of the Division encompass revising applicable regulations as necessary as well as promoting balanced growth management policies. The Planning and Zoning Division also serves as a liaison to the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals and the Design and Review Board
