The Plant
This is the view of the sewage plant from the front, facing north. The address is 1123 Old Columbus Road. These are actually two buildings, separated by a breezeway. The left side includes the chlorination, dechlorination, post aeration, and auxiliary power facilities, while the right side houses the laboratory, and administration and pretreatment offices. Underneath both sides are garages.
These pictures were taken from the roof of the AdministrationBuilding. At the left front are sludge digesters. To the right of the digesters is the old methane gas burner, which has been largely replaced by a new burner to the back of the picture (not seen). At the back left is an ammonia tower. The building to the left is the MaintenanceBuilding. At the back right is the Blower Building.
The flat structure at the front center houses the Comminutes. The dome to the back is the vacuator, while the structure in front of it is the Detritor. To the right is the VacuatorBuilding. At the far right is the Sludge Thickener.
