Fireworks within the City

OHIO REVISED CODE (ORC 3743.45)

As we approach the celebration of July 4th, we would like to remind you of some laws pertaining to setting off fireworks. Consumer-grade fireworks, 1.4 grams or less, are permitted. They can be set off the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday immediately before July 4th and immediately after July 4th. They can also be set off on July 3rd and July 5th. While there is no time restriction for these to be set off, keep in mind that the City of Wooster does have a noise ordinance that prohibits this type of noise from being heard in excess of 50 feet between the hours of 12 am and 6 am. We hope you all have a safe and enjoyable holiday as our Officers work to keep our community safe.
